Timber Harvesting In Gilmanton
Our client contacted us with a woodlot they were looking to have harvested immediately. They had been left in the lurch by another forest management company. The failure of this other company to come through was going to leave them without firewood for this upcoming winter. Needless to say they needed assistance now..and Stillwater Forestry LLC was able to help them out.
We immediately planned out a selective thinning for their property. We then sourced a very reputable logging contractor who was available to start right away. We then worked with the logging contractor to insure that 10 cords of sound dry wood was set aside for our landowner client. At the same time we thinned out their entire 30 acre parcel and generated a fair amount of income for them. We also left behind a number of evenly spaced trees to grow further. This will insure that they can have another timber harvest sometime within the next 15 years. They were very happy with the results and we are happy that they will have plenty of wood heat to keep them warm through our cold NH winter.
